Notice of Airport Improvements

The La Grande Airport is establishing a new overall goal for Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation in its federally-funded Capital Improvement Projects scheduled in FY 18-20. This includes consultation with general contractor groups, community organizations, and other officials or organizations which could be expected to have information concerning the availability of disadvantaged and non-disadvantaged businesses, the effects of discrimination on opportunities for DBE’s, and assist the Airport’s efforts to establish a level playing field for the participation of DBEs.

Below is a list of the anticipated contracts that will receive federal support over the next 3 years:

Contracts Fiscal Year 2018
1. Phase II Environmental, Design. Reconstruct Runway 16/34, Runway Lighting, and Taxiway D Rehabilitation.

Contracts Fiscal Year 2019
1. Phase II Design. Reconstruct Runway 16/34, Runway Lighting, and Taxiway D Rehabilitation.

Contracts Fiscal Year 2020
1. Phase III Construction. Runway 16/34, Runway Lighting, and Taxiway D Rehabilitation.

Planning projects include an update of the Airport’s Master Plan, Wildlife Management Plan, and Pavement Condition Index.
Airfield projects are civil construction and may include asphalt, concrete, lighting, earthwork, trucking, electrical, pavement markings, security, traffic/gate control, and engineering.

A meeting is scheduled for May 14, 2019 at 1:30pm at Union County Public Works 10153 N. McAlister Road La Grande, OR to review the goal setting process.
