Union County Emergency Services, a division of Union County, Oregon is requesting bids for an emergency response vehicle meeting the following minimum requirements, with the most adaptable platform being what is commonly referred to as a special service vehicle. This vehicle will be purchased and not leased.

Specifications:

Exterior/Mechanical:

  • Crew cab pickup truck with four full doors
  •  ¾-ton (e.g. “250” or “2500”) duty classification or greater
  •  Exterior color silver (preferred) or white (acceptable)
  •  79-85 inch long cargo box with 65+ cubic foot cargo capacity.
  •  Four-wheel drive (limited slip or electronic locking rear differential preferred if available)
  •  159”-160” wheel base
  •  3.73 axle ratio
  •  GVWR ≥10,000 lbs, payload capacity ≥3,400 lbs
  •  Max trailering capacity ≥15,000 lbs
  •  Gasoline engine producing at least 400 horsepower and 450lb-ft of torque
  •  Automatic transmission
  •  Push button, two-speed electronic transfer case
  •  Power door locks with key fob control and three keys
  •  Electronic locking tailgate
  •  Power tow mirrors
  •  Trailering package with wiring and hitch
  •  Integrated trailer brake controller
  •  Skid plates under engine and transmission
  •  Spray-on bedliner
  •  Bed-mounted power outlet
  •  Splash guards (mud flaps)
  •  Alternator with ≥220 amp output
  •  Heavy duty front springs designed to support steel bumper up to 400 lbs.

 

Interior:

  • Front seat and interior cab configuration that allows for removal of middle seat section for installation of an aftermarket radio/upfitting equipment console.
  • Rubber or rubber like floor covering (no carpeting)
  • Power windows
  • Air conditioning
  • Cruise control
  • Infotainment with touch screen, Bluetooth audio streaming, voice passthrough to phone.
  • 120-volt outlet in cab

Please respond to this request with a bid for a vehicle that includes:

  • Vehicle manufacturer, model, and model year.
  • Included equipment, options, and specifications.
  • Indicate in-stock availability, and if not available in-stock, please indicate lead time for order delivery to La Grande, OR. If the vehicle could be delivered directly to an upfitting company in Oregon, Idaho, or Washington, please note if that is an option.
  • The total, final price that would be due for vehicle upon receipt.
  • The length of time for which the pricing is valid.

 

Sealed bids will be received by Union County Emergency Services at 1106 K Avenue, La Grande, OR 97850 until 2:00 pm on Wednesday, March 8th, 2023, at which point the bids will be publicly opened and read.

Union County Emergency Services reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and to select the bid which is most beneficial to Union County. Bids will be evaluated based on features/specifications, cost, time of delivery, and other factors that impact suitability for the intended purpose.
