REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
UNION COUNTY SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL

The Union County Board of Commissioners acting in their capacity as the Union County Solid Waste District Board is accepting proposals from DEQ and/or EPA approved solid waste disposal sites for the acceptance of refuse collected in Union County. The contract will cover a period of ten years.

The successful proposer will be granted a contract to accept solid waste collected in Union County and brought to the disposal site from the Waste Pro Transfer Site. Transportation is not part of this proposal; however, transportation costs will be considered when evaluating the proposals.

In calendar years 2019 and 2020 approximately 21,000 tons of material were transported for disposal.  The successful proposer will be required to provide documents verifying insurance coverage.  The Union County Solid Waste District will award a contract to the proposer whose proposal, in the opinion of the Solid Waste District Board of Directors, would be most advantageous to the Union County Solid Waste District.

Proposals must be received by 5:00 P.M. Monday, December 20, 2021 at either 1106 K Avenue, La Grande, OR 97850, or by e-mail to sburgess@union-county.org and must be submitted on the proposal form furnished as part of this document.
